Frequently Asked Questions

Is shipping really free?

It is indeed; all over the USA-- especially Puerto Rico.

Is Vacation Oil available outside of the US?

We’ll see what we can do. Email to get specific 🥂🥂

Can I use Vacation Oil for more than tanning?

Yes. Vacation Oil is a super-hydrating body oil and can be used as an after sun, in place of aloe vera. But it is for external use only. Don’t be gross.

Does Vacation Oil have an SPF rating?

Not for now. We will be releasing products with sunscreen in the very near future. Consider joining our mailing list if you’d like to know more. Scroll down a little further, the way is clear.

Can I use Vacation Oil with products containing sunscreen?

Yes please. Because Vacation Oil does not contain sunscreen, we strongly encourage you to apply a base layer of sunscreen 15 minutes before using Vacation Oil. Repeat this process according to the directions on the sunscreen of your choosing.

Is Vacation safe for all skin types?

But of course. Vacation Oil uses five non-comedogenic oils that are suitable for sensitive skin, dry skin and oily skin, as well as eczema, psoriasis and acne-prone skin. As a reminder, everyone's skin is different, so we recommend trying a test patch first. If no irritation occurs, add more oil and indulge in the joy of champagne tanning. If irritation does occur, stop using the product— and for good measure, consult your healthcare practitioner.

Does Vacation Oil expire?

Is anything really permanent? (That is to say: yes, Vacation does expire). Vacation Oil uses natural, plant-based oils and is 100% preservative free, so once you open it, use liberally within 6 months of opening for the freshest results. It’s not a two-summers-in-a-row situation. And frankly, we wouldn’t want that; each summer is its own.

Is Vacation Oil fragrance-free?

We’ve captured the essence of sun in a bottle, and, friends, Vacation has an aroma. Our signature “Champagne 1987” fragrance contains notes of amber chamomile, lime and davana— in other words, pure perfection.
